Dog Training Articles

Here is two more articles from this morning- I'm progressively sharing information I have been learning through my dog training certification with Animal Behavior College. It is also proving to be a effective study tool!

The first link involves a bunch of training terms and definition that people often get confused. (for example, bribery is not the same thing as rewards or luring.) As well as the difference between shaping and molding.

The second link talks about 3 different types of training and what their methods typically consist of. (Compulsion, positive only, or balanced.)

Grilled Tuna with Pineapple

So this dish turned out to be pretty much amazing.  I would definitely recommend it- it doesn't taste very fishy at all and the salsa is light and fresh for summer! (or Hawaii.) It's also fairly quick and easy. The longest part of the recipe is just letting the salsa chill.

Here's the original link to the recipe:

1. Slice up a pineapple

2. Grill these slices of pineapple for 5 min on each side over medium heat. Let it chill for 30 min, dice it, and add it to the salsa mixture.

3. Dice up onion, jalapenos, and cilantro. Mix in the pineapple and add lime juice. Refrigerate for an hour.
The only thing I would suggest doing differently is actually dicing up all these ingredients with a food processor, then add the pineapple. I love the chunky pineapple pieces but personally I didn't like the chunky pieces of onion!

4. Grill fish for 5 min on each side (covered on medium heat) and dish pineapple salsa over the top.
My fish was a thicker piece so it took more like 7-8 min on each side.

I added a simple side of spinach with honey mustard for dressing and some almonds. Delicious, low calorie, full of protein, and very easy!
